Dread Dash: Rise of the Skeletal Horde
Dread Dash: Rise of the Skeletal Horde immerses you in a real-time strategy experience, placing you in the role of a necromancer desperately fleeing from an encroaching army.
Controls
Dread dash is mainly played with the mouse.
- Select individual units by clicking on them, or choose multiple units by holding down the mouse button while moving the cursor.
- Click the skeleton head to select all units, or the knight head to view the army's current location.
- Select the necromancer portrait to control it.
- Issue movement commands by right-clicking anywhere on the ground after selecting a unit, directing them to move in a straight line to the designated location.
You can move the camera using A and D, or press SPACE to recenter on the necromancer.
Gameplay
Your objective is to evade the advancing army for as long as possible while summoning an army of skeletons to stall its progress.
To achieve this, you can destroy buildings by moving your skeletons nearby, then by starting a ritual if the necromancer is close enough.
- Houses and towers yield additional skeletons.
- Libraries offer permanent upgrades.
Skeletons directed towards the right automatically engage the army, aiding your survival.
Additionally, the necromancer possesses three powerful spells to aid your efforts:
- [Q] Fireball enables destruction of structures from a distance.
- [W] Teleportation swiftly send your skeletons to the battlefield or to move the necromancer further from the inquisition
- [E] Casting allows rituals to be initiated remotely without the necromancer's physical presence or to accelerate the ritual.
